Oh Where Oh Where Have My Feet Gone??

I have no idea. I haven't seen them in months!

I haven't blogged in so long, I'm not even going to try to catch up. Malakai is due to come tomorrow! We'll see if he's ready or not. :)

Happy 4th!

This year our friends had a block party/BBQ, so we chowed down with all of our neighbors and set off a ton of fireworks!

Finding red, white and blue outfits for them to wear was no easy task. I never realized how much their closet is a sea of pink and purple!

This was the first year since we've had kids that we've actually set off our own fireworks. Melia was scared to hold the sparklers at first, but once she figured out that they really do go out before they burn your hand, she loved them! Jeananne became her sparkler "dealer". The second one went out, she went back for another. She must have done over 20 of them herself!

Naiya did really well with everything. I thought she might be scared of the loud ones, but she stayed entertained all the way til 9:30! (The next day wasn't so happy with two tired kiddos, but it was worth it.)

I'm On My Own

Well, Bo just left on a 4 day camp out with the scouts this morning, so it's just me and the kids and the big German Shepherd we are dog sitting left here at home. I had no idea what it meant to be Scout Master when he got this calling, but they say it's the second busiest calling in the church next to being Bishop and I believe it! I have never seen him so busy with a calling before. He's doing a great job, but I find myself alone with the kids a lot. Not that I don't love my kids, but I have come to greatly appreciate the help that Bo gives me when he's here.

The girls crawled into one of the leftover sleeping bags tonight to read stories before bed. They look very calm in the picture, but there was more wrestling, giggling, screaming and craziness than actual reading going on. But now they are in bed and I am wiped out. I think this calls for watching a little "So You Think You Can Dance".

Happy Mother's Day! (A Little Late)

My 2 1/2 best Mother's Day presents. (The 1/2 is still in my belly, in case you didn't catch that). :)

My next best Mother's Day present. Thanks Bo! I love them!

What the?!

Usually it happens during the teenage years...

But it looks like Naiya has hit the Goth stage a little early.

I don't know what kind of cult tattoos these are...

Hopefully, she'll grow out of it quickly.

Happy Easter!!

So we had a busy day before Easter with 2 egg hunts, a work conference, a visitor from out of town, a date night doubling with Azure and Michael, and a guys night for Bo after that.
Here are some of the cuter moments...

Excited for the egg hunt!

Melia's still excited....Naiya's gotten a little impatient.

And the hunt is on!

Found one!

Whoah! Score!

Counting their spoils!

I can't believe we got a family picture where almost everyone is smiling and looking at the camera! (We only had to take about 10 other shots to get this.)

Cute little Easter bunny!

Uncle Jefe was in town and stopped by for a visit. We can't wait til you guys move here in June!

On to our second Easter egg hunt of the day at our friends, Sean and Callie's. The kids had fun and got more candy than they knew what to do with!

Naiya and her friend, Zalia, on the "easy" side of the egg hunt.

"Cannee!", as Naiya would say.

We had a great Easter day also. Church was really good and we really felt the spirit of the Lord there. It helped us remember why we have an Easter to begin with. We spent the afternoon at Bo's Aunt Kathie and Uncle Craig's house and had fun seeing family we haven't seen in a long time. It was so good to catch up with Bo's cousin, Kyle, who just got home from a mission in Korea. Melia hadn't seen him since she was about Naiya's age, but bonded with him again in no time! The girls both had so much fun playing with everyone! We even had a big double rainbow on our way home. What a way to end Easter! Haven't uploaded pictures yet, but I may just surprise myself and actually get back to posting them here soon. :)
